A lot of detail was added to the airplane and clouds. I also added another layer of clouds and shapes to give the opening in the clouds more depth. I stopped working on this painting in the fall of 2008 because I felt it looked good enough at the time.

I decided to rework a few parts of the painting In the spring of 2010. My main goal was just to give the background more depth. I made the sky smoother and brighter. I repainted all of the buildings on the horizon to make them scale better with the two large buildings. I also changed the shape of the airplane a bit. If you look closely, you can see my signature in the lower right hand corner.

I spent most of my time zoomed in on small sections of this painting in order to get a smooth, clear look . Here are some close up images of areas I spent a lot of time on.

This was a huge project, and I'm happy to finally be able to share it.
