I have been working on a new series of paintings called "Radical People". Several paintings from the new series will be in the "Earth and Lightyears" show at Gallery Uptown. A few of my digital paintings will also be on display.

I received a purchase award for Strange Flight at the 82nd Regional Exhibition! Strange flight was one of 15 works selected for a purchase award out of 145 artworks in the exhibition.

Strange Flight was accepted into the 82nd Regional Exhibition at the Muskegon Museum of Art. Out of 622 entries only 145 were selected. The show runs from may 27 to August 25. Here is a link to the Museum Website

I submitted an entry to Talenthouse Creative Invite competition. The top 30 submissions will be judged by Dan Cameron, the founder and artistic director of U.S. Biennial. "Prospect. 1. New Orleans". Selected artist's work will be included in a satellite exhibition that will run parallel to the U.S. Biennial. "Prospect. 2. New Orleans"

Update: The contest has ended. I'd like to say thanks to all the people who've voted for my artwork. My painting Strange Flight made it into the top 30! Thanks for the support.

I have decided to remove the prints of my traditional paintings from the online store. However I plan to make digital versions of some of my traditional paintings to sell as prints. The digital versions will let me re-imagine some of my old paintings and they will translate better to print. In addition I am also considering getting some of my paintings professionally scanned.

Currently I am working on finishing my digital paintings. Right now I am working on Grow to the Light. My goal is to get all of the digital paintings to a level of clarity that will look good when printed at 4 x 6 feet.

I made a few minor changes to the website. I merged the "New" and "old" galleries into one button "Traditional" in the left hand menu. I updated the Buy Art, Resume, and About pages. I changed the look of the online store.

I entered two paintings in the Gallery Uptown Winter Art Festival. Gallery Uptown is an art gallery in Grand Haven, MI. Both of my paintings were accepted into the show and Strange Flight received an honorable mention. See my Events page for directions and dates.

I made some t-shirt designs for ModernCine this fall. The shirts were for an event called Scarefest on oct 31. Scarefest was an all day film festival leading up to the opening premiere of the movie Offspring. Here are some pictures of the shirts.

I moved the news section to the homepage and put the events list on a new page. I changed the logo again. I am currently working on several digital paintings (Strange Flight, Grow to the Light, Android Transform) as well as series of new acrylic paintings.

I added my Resume, Contact and Examples back to the main menu. I added a Twitter account that automatically updates when I post news on Facebook. I added a new demonstration image to the Examples page. I also created a new Deviantart page.

I was at Meijer Art in the Park over the weekend. I had a great time painting and talking to people at the art fair. I painted 3 teddy bears and I also started a new series of paintings titled "Radical People" Here are some pictures. I have a few more pictures on my Facebook page.

I now have two example pages in my portfolio, basic editing and pixel editing. I decided to change the site to fixed width instead of fluid. I have not fully tested it yet but it seems to look the same in Internet Explorer 5.1 - 8 as well as other browsers. I have been working on improving the html code for the past several months. I also removed my resume from the main menu and placed it in Portfolio. I removed the Sketch section as well because I will be putting concept art/ sketches in the Portfolio section later on.

I have been trying to get the website to display better in IE. It should look fine in browsers like Firefox or Chrome.

I changed the colors of my website to silver. I also fixed a lot of little things. Next I'll be updating the portfolio section.

I've recently updated several of my digital paintings. I've also made major changes to two of my old paintings. Insane Dream is a painting I've been working on for a very long time. I also just made some major changes to a fairly recent painting called Floating in the Deep. I've been doing a lot of design tweaking on my website. I feel like the website is almost where I want it to be. I'm planning on doing a few more things over the summer. I want to put up some examples for my portfolio and I'm thinking about creating a new logo.

I totally re-created my website. This new version should be more compatible with different browsers. I also made it shrinkable! I'm currently working on digital paintings for an upcoming exhibition at Adrian College.
